FOR NEURODIVERGENT INDIVIDUALS & INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES
A life is more than a
programme.
neurodivergent people to learn, work, live and belong.
ABOUT PRAKASH FOUNDATION
Why Prakash Foundation
A diagnosis should inform support, not define possibility.
People grow up. Their support needs may change. Their right to a full life does not.
For many neurodivergent people, support is strongest in childhood and becomes fragmented just when adult life begins.
School ends. Services change. Families are left asking: What comes next?
We believe there should be an answer.
Prakash Foundation exists to build and support the systems, opportunities and communities that make a full life possible – across childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
WHAT WE DO
Learn. Work. Live. Belong.
We develop and support initiatives that help individuals build skills, find meaningful opportunities, develop independence and participate fully in their communities
Learn
Learning does not end with school.
We create opportunities to develop practical, functional and lifelong skills in ways that are relevant to the person and their life.
Work
We build opportunities for people to develop skills, contribute and participate in meaningful work.
Live
We work towards real possibilities for adult living, with the right support for each person to exercise choice, develop independence and build a life of their own.
Belong
Families, workplaces, neighbourhoods and communities should make room for neurodivergent people as participants, contributors and citizens not as visitors to an otherwise separate world.
HOW WE WORK
Start with the person.
Build around the life.
There is no single model of neurodivergence, independence or adulthood.
We look at the individual – their strengths, communication, interests, needs, choices and aspirations and build support around them.
Our work brings together professional practice, evidence, lived experience and continuous learning.
We adapt environments and systems to people, rather than expecting people to fit systems that were never designed for them.
OUR INITIATIVES
Different initiatives. One continuum.
Prakash Foundation develops and supports initiatives that respond to different stages and dimensions of life.
Meaningful work. Participation. Possibility.
Ura supports neurodivergent children, adolescents and young adults through skill-building, vocational learning, life skills and meaningful work opportunities.
Ura believes that employment is not simply an endpoint. It is part of a broader ecosystem of meaningful engagement, autonomy and self-directed life skills.
A place to live, learn, work and belong.
The Village is an inclusive residential community for neurodivergent adolescents and adults, designed around a gradual transition towards community living.
Its weekly residential model is intentional. People do not move in overnight and begin a completely new life the next morning. Instead, they experience living away from home in planned, manageable steps, building familiarity, confidence, routines and relationships over time.
The aim is not to wait until a family reaches a crisis point, or until a caregiver can no longer provide support, and then search for a residential placement.
The Village creates the opportunity to prepare for adulthood and community living before a crisis makes the decision for everyone.
Residents can gradually develop the skills and experience needed for living with greater autonomy, while families have the time and space to adjust to that transition alongside them.
The Village brings together supported living, vocational learning, life skills and community participation – creating an environment where people can grow, contribute, make choices and build a life with the support they need.
Because moving towards a different way of living should be a process, not an emergency.
OUR IMPACT
Impact is measured in
more than numbers.
For us, impact means creating meaningful opportunities for people to develop, participate and build lives with purpose and dignity.
Learning
Building skills and capabilities for greater independence.
Work
Creating pathways towards meaningful contribution and purpose.
Community
Supporting participation, connection and belonging.
Dignity
Creating opportunities for people to live meaningful lives on their own terms.
Person-Centred
The person comes before the programme. Support is shaped around individual strengths, needs, communication, choices and goals.
Evidence-Informed
We use established practice, professional expertise, data and continuous learning to guide what we do.
Collaborative
Better outcomes come from working with individuals, families, professionals, organisations and communities.
Long-Term
We are interested in what lasts beyond a programme, a funding cycle or a single intervention.
Every person deserves to be treated with respect and taken seriously.
A life of support can still be a life of agency.
People are not simply recipients of care. Everyone should have opportunities to participate and contribute.
Belonging means being part of ordinary life, not creating a separate version of it.
Good support begins with understanding the person, not judging them.
We take responsibility for the quality, integrity and impact of our work.

OUR VISION
A future where inclusion is ordinary.
We envision a future where neurodivergent people can learn, work, live and belong throughout their lives and where families do not have to build that future alone.
A future where growing up leads somewhere.
Where needing support does not mean giving up choice, contribution or adulthood.
And where the possibilities available to a person are not determined by their diagnosis.
